Does "Dropping and fluffing" put pressure on your incisions? To the point of discomfort...?

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs  As an implant "drops and fluffs" the silicone begins to redistribute to the lower portion of your breasts.  This can place some temporary pressure along your incision site causing some increased soreness or discomfort.  As long as you have not seen any changes to your incision site all is likely well and you are feeling normal healing.  Hope this helps.

Plastic surgeons use a variety of things to improve scarring and results after breast augmentation. Make sure you follow what your surgeon has told you in terms of breast massage. They know what type of implant they inserted at surgery as well as all of the other details of your procedure and are best equipped to guide you through your recovery.

Thank you for your question and photograph.  Breast implants that are place under the muscle do tend to drop in about 3 weeks post procedure.  That being said, your final result cannot be judged until a full 4-6 months.  My advice is to follow the specific instructions given to you by your plastic surgeon regarding implant massage.  Best of luck.

Yes, the drop and fluff could certainly add a bit of pressure on the incisions, especially when this is combined with massage. Incisions can naturally be more sensitive as people heal. Speak with your plastic surgeon  about this concern.Best wishes, Dr. Aldo

Plastic surgeons have their own techniques and routines to improve post operative results and scarring. I suggest that you talk to your plastic surgeon about it. I do recommend waiting for a few more months to see the final result. I do not recommend putting too much pressure to the point of discomfort or pain. 

Congratulations on having undergone the breast augmentation procedure.  Keep in mind that your plastic surgeon will always be your best resource when it comes to accurate assessment  and advice.  It is not unusual for patients to feel more pressure/discomfort along the lower poles as breast implants fully "settle" into the space dissected during breast augmentation surgery. My best advice; close follow up and careful compliance with post op instructions. As the implant relaxes into the pocket, this can cause a bit more pressure on the lower pole and may cause some irritation or pain at your inframammary incision. If concerned, see your surgeon.
