Utilizing saline volumes in the upper range of the manufacturer's recommendations helps cut down on concerns such as breast implant rippling. Expanders are considered temporary devices, and in the US  the largest saline implants that are available are 800cc's.  It is not recommended to overfill them above the recommended fill volume.
