Thanks for your question. If you are having difficulty after your treatment, I recommend returning to your treating physician and having them do a thorough exam. If MiraDry is done the way it is intended, within the company guidelines, it should not affect the lymph nodes at all. The skin is puffed up with a fairly large amount of very dilute anesthetic mixed with sterile water, and the energy from the device stops at the superficial sweat glands and hair follicles, far above the underlying structures such as nerves and lymph nodes. We have not seen any cases of lymph node effects in our area. MiraDry is a fully FDA approved procedure for excessive sweating, odor and hair, and has a wonderful safety record. There is swelling and lumpiness under the arms for months sometimes, but this is not truly swollen lymph nodes and it does abate after some time. Best of luck!
