How do I get rid of the swelling or the fluid retention in my under arms and upper arms fast? (Photos)

Its now 2 days post miraDry treatment and i have these swelling in my underarms and upperarm. I understand that this will eventually go away. But how do i get rid of it fast because when i walk my upperarms jiggles, its annoying and my underarms still kind of hurts. Also it makes me look like i gained a lot of weight.

Thank you for your question!  For post miraDry swelling, we recommend that you come back to the office for MLD (manual lymphatic drainage).  This type of massage helps improve the fluid retention and swelling post miraDry.  We also recommend that you avoid salty foods, hydrate with lots of water and take an anti-histamine if necessary.

Thanks for your question.  I hope you love your MiraDry treatment results, but the swelling and discomfort can persist for a few weeks after the procedure.  You should be at maximum swelling now and that should get better every day.  You can continue to use ice packs several times a day, and take some ibuprofen unless you are allergic to it.  Try and be patient, keep the treated areas clean and dry, and maybe wear an athletic type shirt with longer sleeves to help compress the underarms gently and support the tender tissue.  Call your treating physician if you think things are not going the way you expect in a few weeks. Best of luck!
