There seems to be a dent in my areola where the stitches were. Should stitches of stayed on longer? (photo)

I'm two and half weeks post op. I think my areola skin hasn't bonded together how it should have. Is this normal will it heal with time.? Is this line or dent so to speak normal? I just want to make sure everything is healing correctly
