Dr. Ewart took his time, and knew exactly what I needed. His staff was very professional, and I am very happy with results. I have already scheduled my next appointment with him. Thank you guys so much!
I had what they call extended diastesis recti and I couldn’t wear jeans or regular pants because my big pooch would just flop over it. And I had old breast implants 722cc and wanted new smaller implants therefore I needed a lift to accommodate smaller implants. Dr. Christopher Ewart in Augusta, GA is an artist and I couldn’t believe my results. He was able to get me flat stomach and he chose 435cc to give me the D cup I wanted. I totally trusted him and beyond happy with my results. He knew right away I didn’t need drains or lipo once he saw my extended diastesis which is more rare then regular diastesis. It’s amazing how he just knew at first glance and was understanding to how I wanted my new figure to look. I also want to mention his nurse Delaine, very knowledgeable, confident and humble. She added to the trust I had in the team as a whole. She was a comfort to a lot of my questions. A true asset. Lastly, not much pain I tell you, from a scale of 1-10 maybe a 2 in my abs when I coughed and vomited. I did use Exparel and was on time with all my meds which was for 4 days. I did feel some pulling on my right lower abs but no pain or much soreness actually. I felt my boobs a little sore but very minimum. I really had a positive experience. All the glory to Christ for no pain because a lot of people prayed for me. I’m still not standing straight and am 2 weeks post-op exactly. I had just taken off my wrinkly steri strips so my nipples looks wrinkled, but they’re not, and they may look uneven but that’s because I’m not standing straight yet. If you look closely to my t shaped breast lift scar, you’ll see I already applied the silicone scar tape.
5 years ago I had a breast lift with implants. The implants never settled so I had to have a second surgery where my doctor went in and lowered them. After the swelling from that surgery settled down, my breasts seemed to look a little flat and like they weren't the shape I was hoping for. I knew I wanted to have them fixed one day, and now that I'm ready to have a tummy tuck we are going for it! Updated on 6 Aug 2023: I got to take a shower today and peek at my incisions, and not gonna lie - I cried. The scar may be big, but my stomach looks better than I could have hoped for. It looks flat and natural and my doctor did such an amazing job. As for my boobs, they still have some changes to go through but from what can tell they look like they are going to be exactly what I wanted. I am beyond thrilled and the pain is totally worth it. I am daily mobile and self sufficient, as long as I am diligent and stay on top of my medication it’s doable. I may have to call him tomorrow for a refill as I’m nearing the end of my script. So beyond happy with Dr. Ewart and his team, and I’m looking forward to seeing the results as I continue to heal!! Updated on 7 Aug 2023: I am truthfully shocked at how easy this process has been. I was so nervous for the pain and what ifs, and possibility of things going wrong, but from what I can tell so far I am one million percent happy!!! I started taking arnica and bromelain 5 days prior to my surgery, and not sure if that has truly helped or if it’s just chance, but I have been able to do almost everything on my own from day one. The pain is definitely intense but maneageable with my prescription medication, and I don’t have any bruising at all that I can see. I am loving the result so far and can’t wait to see more as it continues to heal!! Here are a few pics from where I’m at now! Updated on 9 Aug 2023: I had a breast lift and implants with Dr. Ewart 5 yers ago after pregnancy and breastfeeding sunk my boobs past my elbows lol. From the initial consultation Dr. Ewart was very informative and matter of fact, and explained things very thoroughly. While healing, my body had some complications where the implants never dropped like they should. He continued to monitor me with monthly visits to make sure things worked out, and unfortunately they never dropped so he went in and adjusted them with no additional fee (besides anesthesia ofcourse) and I was so thankful for that. After that procedure and they finally settled, I still wasn't thrilled with the shape so I knew I wanted to have them redone at some point, so when I was ready for a tummy tuck I decided to have the full mommy makeover. I am currently 4 days post op and I am SO happy with my results so far! I can't wait to see as I continue to heal. I have already sent 5 of my friends to him (all of whom were very happy as well) and I will always recommend Dr. Ewart and his staff to everyone I know - they are all wonderful. Trudy at the front desk is a real ray of sunshine and makes walking in those doors such a joy. Tammy the coordinator is beyond nice and friendly and a joy to work with. Dr. Ewart's nurse Delaine is so kind, caring, and helpful and will answer any question you have without hesitation. I've heard some people say that Dr. Ewart's bedside manner isn't the best but I personally find him very friendly and easy to work with. Also, when looking for a surgeon to work on your body, personality is not one of my top priorities - I'd much prefer a talented and meticulous board certified surgeon with the eye of an artist which he truly is. 10/10 recommend Dr. Ewart and Augusta Plastic Surgery!!
I generally do not write reviews. But when I was on the search for the perfect doctor to perform a serious and expensive procedure, I wanted to make sure I chose correctly. Today 1/26/2022 I had my 5 week and 2 days post op appointment for BL/and BA. I read a ton of reviews, even went to another doctor for a consult before settling on Dr.Ewart at Augusta Plastic Surgery. I read all the reviews I could, being 44 its sometimes hard to find reviews with someone your age and body type, so that is why I am writing this. I hope it helps others. I was 44 about 162 pounds, just under 5'7, had sagging, and was about a 36/38- full C low D before surgery. I choose to get small silicone implants, I wanted the lift, but a bit more upper volume. I ended with 205cc in left and 255 in right. I was a bit intimidated (honestly) being older and walking into a consult with young beautiful ladies, I thought I would be judged or looked at crazy. That was not the case. I felt comfortable and welcome. Mollie was amazing from the start, setting me up with my consult, walking me through questions, and getting me in so fast. I went from consult, to surgery due to a cancellation. I read reviews slamming Dr.Ewart not being "personal" enough. I did get that vibe, but I did not care, I am hiring someone to do a good job, and not be my friend. He is amazing at what he does, and I would take comfort in knowing my body was in good hands over him asking me about my day. That's just immaturity. I will go to him for anything in the future. My results are exactly what I asked for, and my healing process has been amazing. I have another follow up in a few months, but as far now, I would say; Dr.Ewart and his staff are amazing at what they do! I am so glad I choose him!
I had a great experience with dr. Ewart. I wanted a breast lift and small implants just to replace the volume removed along with the lift, as I was happy with my post surgery size, just not their sad, saggy, stretched appearance. I booked my consult and my fiancé and I went in and spoke to dr. Ewart, who actively listened to my concerns about wanting my breasts lifted considerably and made round and perky, but without going too big for my body with the implants after. Having had several friends undergo breast augmentation and having the majority of them say their surgeon recommended just going with a larger implant and skipping the lift, I was wary of this, because I knew without a doubt I wanted that lift, as I was never blessed with perky boobs— I went from no boobs to big C’s overnight in high school and as such was gifted stretch marks and larger aureolas than I wanted. To my immense relief, dr. Ewart agreed that a lift was a necessity and agreed that with my body shape and petite frame we shouldn’t go too large with the implants as they would make me look too top heavy. He and his nurse took about 20 different breast/upper body measurements to gauge size/placement etc and then took pics using the vectra machine that generated kind of a 3D photo of me and from there was able to show me the incisions he would use and show me several sizes of implants and how they would look on my body. The first set he showed me were just a *tad* too big and I didn’t even have to say anything, I think he noticed the “….ehhhh…” look on my face and immediately showed me a slightly smaller size, which I thought were perfect. Then he told me he’d use a dual plane augmentation (internal bra) that would enhance the lift and shape of my breasts and cleavage. I left the consult very happy and feeling listened to. I got lucky and got a surgery appointment a month after my consult, rather than waiting 5-6 months (he’s booked up,) because someone had postponed their surgery earlier that morning. Surgery itself went great (it was about a 3 hour procedure,) the nurses and anesthesia team were also great (I didn’t even feel the IV go in and usually that makes me pukey…) I’m almost 2 weeks post op and while I’m still really swollen and firm I’m incredibly pleased with the results. I honestly didn’t think with my prior breast shape that I’d be able to end up with round and high breasts but he’s a wizard I guess, because they’re exactly what I wanted. I know they’ll still settle for several months but I can’t see any way I will end up unhappy.
I was able to get my procedure scheduled with the awesome help from Tammy. She worked with my insurance and was able to get everything lined up perfectly for me. Without a doubt, I would recommend her and this practice to my family and friends. Great lady to work with!
Ewart is truly an artist in his profession. I've agonized (secretly) over my post-pregnancy body for so many years and finally, after careful consideration, I went in for a tummy tuck. Let me tell you.... he is MAGIC!!! I have never been more happy with my body! I had high expectations and honestly, I'm still blown away with the results. 100% would recommend to anyone considering!
Dr. Ewart changed everything...from how I look and feel about myself to all the things that come with loving the skin you’re in! I have never felt more confident and happy with my body. I can’t stop looking in the mirror and saying “Damn that’s a nice ...” Ooh, and check out my waistline and flat stomach. He’s a true artist! A real gift to woman! I had no idea My body could look this amazing! He truly went above and beyond expectations I had!
I've been saving for years to have this done. I'm so excited! The reviews here have been so helpful in making the decision to do it! My surgery is scheduled for Feb 14 and my pre-op is Jan 28th to finalize details. I'm 5'2" and 140lbs with a more athletic than petite build. At my consult I found out I'm an A-cup - so sad because I thought I was a B-cup! The surgeon said my breasts are wide, but shallow. I've opted to go with saline implants because I have an autoimmune disease and the possibility of silent rupture really freaks me out. At my consultation, my surgeon suggested holding off on correcting my nipples because I'd like to try and breastfeed. He also suggested 450cc under the muscle. I'm hoping to be fuller and more proportional after my surgery. (I'm a full 4/6 on the bottom half) But...I am worried that 450ccs might be too big. I've seen the VectorImage of what 450cc looks like, but would value any stories, experiences, or photos that anyone may have that will help me decide.
I’ve seen both Dr. Ewart and nurse Natalie and had great experiences with both injectors. They both have an aesthetic eye and the skill set required to make one feel confident in their office. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and I felt comfortable during my visit at their beautifully designed new location. I get subtle filler injections and couldn’t ask for better results that yield a confidence boost! I highly recommend Dr. Ewart and staff.
Most patients would do the procedure again if given the choice Some of the Positives:
It is suggested that patients wear their surgical garment as long as possible for best results. The surgical garment is usually recommended anywhere from 4-6 weeks at least, after surgery is completed. The surgical garment does a great job with helping keep areas compressed and also avoiding fluid accumulation. After the 2-4 week mark, garments similar to spanx can be worn if patient prefers another alternative of a garment that is more comfortable. Wearing the garment for several months will provide the patient with the best results.
Tummy tuck swelling can most likely be seen or located in the lower abdomen and/or the mons area post-operative. A majority of the swelling can last up to 6-12 weeks. To help alleviate swelling, you can rest, elevate lower extremities, and ice areas. Keep in mind that it can take up to 6-12 months for best results and all swelling to be resolved.
A tummy tuck will remove the stretch marks that are located from the belly button down to the pubic area and move the ones above the belly button typically down to below the belly button. You would be a great candidate for a tummy tuck combined with liposuction to obtain best results.
Yes, you can have the same area treated again if there is enough fat remaining to liposuction. You will need to do a consultation to see if you are a good liposuction candidate of the areas you are concerned with.
