I had jaw surgery to correct an underbite 3 years ago but I developed severe nasolabial folds. I am early 30’s and this is affecting my mental health. I tried a facial fat transfer a year ago but it seems to have made them worse.

Answer: Nasolabial folds A facelift for your nasolabial folds would really be excessive and probably not do much anyway. I don’t think your fold are bad enough to even treat . However an option would be injectable fillers instead of surgery

Answer: Lateral lip lift Being in your early 30's, I do not believe many surgeons would be willing to perform a facelift. An alternative to consider would be a lip lift. However, most would be taken laterally and little centrally. The lateral lip lift can pull up the corners. This may help with the marionette deformity as well as the nasolabial folds. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
