You did not post photos, so I cannot be specific. I would suspect you may be having issues with a submandibular gland. Go back to your surgeon and discuss your concerns. External ultrasound treatment might be helpful.

You probably have a hematoma on that side that has partially liquefied. The correction would be to open the incisions and take a look in the neck and cheek area to remove any fluid or consolidated hematoma and reclose. Your skin flaps are viable so your results are not compromised.
