Hi! In July of this year I scheduled an extended tummy tuck to be performed in January, but as I get closer to my goal weight, I am starting to get nervous I will require more. Should I switch providers for a 360 tummy tuck? My provider only offers mini, standard and extended. So far I am down 87 lbs, and I still have 30ish Ibs to go! I've had 2 kids and fluctuated weight gains and losses significantly. I'm scheduled for a breast lift, flank lipo and extended tuck. My backside is concerning too.
Answer: Tummy Tuck Thank you for your inquiry and congratulations on your weight loss! You have excess abdominal skin making you a great candidate for an Abdominoplasty procedure at your current weight. We would love to see you in person and help you reach your goals. Schedule a consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon like myself and we can create a surgical plan for you!

Answer: Do you need surgery on your back? From your photograph, it seems like you would do very well with just an extended tummy tuck and liposuction of the back. After liposuction, your back probably will not have enough loose skin to remove with a relatively large surgery and additional risk.

Answer: Best option would be a 360 tummy tuck. Thank you for your photos. Congratulations on your weight loss. It is my experience that patients who have lost near 100 pounds have enough laxity of the skin circumferentially around their body that the only way to adequately contour their abdomen, flanks, back and buttocks is a 360 tummy tuck. Your extended tummy tuck would go well past the midline of your flank onto your back and the small extension of the incision across your back would maximize your contour with no additional increase in your recovery time, etc. Meet with a surgeon who performs a 360 tummy tuck to get a clear discussion of all your best options.

Answer: Tummy tuck Dear JolynManning, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
