Hi, My nose and my upper lip - are too distant. Anything that can be done with fillers to make that distant smaller? Thank you, KS
Answer: Fillers may not be helpful for nasal lengthening. If you have a large distance between the tip of your nose in your upper lip, that implies that you have an obtuse nose lip angle. I don't believe the fillers would be helpful in lowering the tip of your nose. Thank you for your question. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Answer: I recommend upper lip lift Hello and thank you for your question. It sounds like your main issue is a long distance between your nose and upper lip (the red portion). Although you could potentially do some filler to the upper lip to make it fuller, which might possibly give the perception of a shorter distance, you would ultimately benefit most from an upper lip lift. This is a quick surgical procedure which could be done in the office under local anesthesia, and you would go home the same day right after the procedure. Dr. Donald Groves, our expert facial plastic surgeon, has extensive training and experience with these types of facial aesthetic procedures, so I’d recommend for you to come see him (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with facial aesthetics) for a formal consultation to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate all your options (surgical and nonsurgical), and decide on the best procedure(s) and type of anesthesia for your specific case. I hope this helps! Dr. Emer

Answer: Lip lift The lip lift procedure is designed to solve this particular issue. There is a scar with this procedure but when done well, it can be really hidden and invisible. Unfortunately fillers don't solve this problem and sometimes make it worse. Consult a lip lift surgeon for a detailed opinion

Answer: Shortening the upper lip Thank you for your question. There are a few possibilities that can sometimes help, but of course a face to face assessment would be needed to look at this.Depending on your features filler placement in particular areas of the cheek, naso-labial fold, lip and philtrum can make a (usually subtle) difference.Best wishes.
