Crease in top lip after rhinoplasty - will it disappear or will I need more surgery? (photos)

Hello I am 8months PO i had rhinoplasty in March 2022. I have a crease between my top lip and nose this appears when I smile. My colunm and tip are very hard Will this crease disapper? Or am I likely to need more surgery? I can feel there is something there that is why my top lip cannot get right up to my nose when i smile

Your limited photos appear to show a swollen nasal base and tip. If you're not completely healed, this horizontal line may get better, unless it was there before surgery. Consider reasking your question with smiling photos before and after surgery. Thanks. Dr Joseph

Hi, the reason for the wrinkles between your upper lip and nose may be the result of the grafts, which placed in the surgery. I can't know that what were your problems before the surgery and if there was a need for a graft. Also, the stiffness is generally happening with the grafts. Besides, stiffness in the nasal column and tip is generally reduced in 8 to 12 months after the surgery. Will you need revision surgery?This can be understandable after the physical examination to be performed. On the other hand, if the stiffness and nasal wrinkles doesn't disappear, you may need revision surgery.It is important that you could manage the process with a competent surgeon.Have a nice day.

You have a very prominent columella which makes me think there may be cartilage grafts there. That’s probably what’s making it hard. The cartilage grafts can be removed pretty easily
