I have 36DDD breasts and want a lift because insurance would require too much to be removed to be covered. Will my size stay the same with a lift? Is this a waste of money? I have back problems but don’t want small boobs. Will a lift help with back pain? Help!

Answer: Minimal size difference Only a small amount of tissue is removed during a breast lift, so the size of your breasts may stay the same size. However, you should know that your breasts may fit into your bra differently due to their new perkier shape, and sometimes patients find that they need a smaller or larger bra to improve comfort. While a breast lift may help reduce back pain to a certain extent, the effects may be minimal. A breast reduction may be the most suitable option to reduce your back problems.

Answer: Size No, your final result will be a smaller cup size. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach TrainedDouble Board-Certified, Double Fellowship-Trained Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon
