Mouth corner/lip corner lift and afraid of scars - what can I expect from this?

I am 47, about to have a deep plane face lift and neck lift. However, my surgeon said I need mouth corner lift as well as they point downwards, making me look sad. Facelift alone wont help. The scars scare me tho - he said they will continue from my mouth corners towards cheeks (this isnt a vermillion lip lift and will not affect the lip shape, only lift mouth corners). I’m afraid of the scars, though. I don’t want to look like a joker. What can I expect from his? These scars look bad to me.
