My upper lip covers my teeth. Can it be fixed with a lip lift? (photos)

Unfortunately, your photographs are inadequate. We would need a photograph that shows the nose to the chin. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. Thank you for your question. A lip lift will increase tooth show when you smile. Unlike temporary injectable dermal fillers, which must be repeated every six to 18 months, a lip lift is also a “one-and-done” procedure. Your lifted, fuller lip retains its new shape for years. Good candidates for a lip lift would also want to increase the red (mucosal) show of the upper lip while shortening the distance from the bottom of the nose to the upper lip. Assessing your entire facial profile, therefore, is necessary. To best determine your eligibility for the procedure, I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon. Your surgeon can do a proper evaluation of your lips and facial profile, recommend the best approach, and ensure the best possible results.

A subnasal liplift or mucosal lip lift are two very important options for you to consider in order to restore proportion and incisor show to your upper lip.
