Hello doctors, I have a long philtrum for my age, i am just 21 but my philtrum measures 17mm and makes my face look longer and disproportionate do i need a lip lift, but here's the catch, i have adequate tooth show so probably this problem pertains to underlying skeletal problem i really want my philtrum shortened , i have an already narrow face and a long philtrum at that just worsens things Please help!!

Thank you for your question. There would be no issues with wearing aligners following a lip lift surgery. I do recommend consultation with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon to further discuss to ensure your surgeon is okay with it.

You would be a candidate for a lip lift and chin augmentation. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.
