Hi! I'm considering a nose job as I've never been very happy with my nose, particularly with the tip - broad with wide nostrils. My profile, is a bit masculine and slightly curved downward. I would get it corrected too, but risks worry me a bit. I wonder is it possible to achieve a good result only doing the tip? My broad tip that drops when I smile is far more annoying than my side profile. I heard that tipplasty is less risky vs full rhinoplasty. What would you advise be? Thanks!

Thick skin presents a challenge in rhinoplasty as it can limit the degree of refinement possible and can contribute to postoperative edema (swelling). However, I frequently perform rhinoplasties on patients who have thick skin and I use several techniques to manage thick skin during rhinoplasty....
Christopher David Jones, MBBS, BSc, FRCS (Plast) says:
The bulbous appearance of your tip is related to the soft tissues as well as the shape of the tip cartilages. Both can be addressed with rhinoplasty surgery. It is worth noting that any changes to the soft tissues are more subtle.
Hello! Thank you for your question.
As far as I can see from your photos hhe tip of the nose may become low over the years after the operation, but it should be 1 or 2 millimeters higher during the surgical operation. I recommend a revision operation to get rid of this image.
It would be better...
