Tip plasty - am I a good candidate to have my nose narrowed? (Photo)

Based on your photos, it appears that the tip can be made more refined, but you can't be guaranteed of that. It's important to see what your nose looked like before the first surgery. If your tip skin is real thick, then it may be harder to make much improvement. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation and make sure to bring photos of your nose from before your surgery.

Thank you for your question. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty, I think it is one of the most beautifying surgeries that we do as plastic surgeons. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. Best wishes to you.

When we evaluate patients for revision rhinoplasty, we also like to evaluate preoperative photos and operative reports to see what was done previously. Even though someone's tip may appear why, sometimes it's just due to extensive scar tissue. The best way to answer this question is to meet with several reputable rhinoplasty specialists. To make quality assessment regarding the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure, and to make a recommendation for possible secondary rhinoplasty surgery we need a complete set of proper before and after pictures.
If you don’t have a complete set of before and after pictures and ask your previous surgeon to forward the pictures they took.
if you want to have a second procedure, then neither follow up with your previous provider or schedule in person second opinion consultations for other rhinoplasty surgeons in your community.
This type of work needs to be very specific and I think it’s far better in person, consultations than any form of virtual consultation, or posting on this website.
For second opinion consultations come prepared bringing with you and complete set of before and after pictures and a complete copy of your previous operative report.
This should be available from your previous provider.
The nose is typically divided into subunits.
There are a variety of procedures that can be applied to change the shape of each subunits of the nose.
I don’t think it’s appropriate for us to tell you what kind of rhinoplasty surgery you should have a based on the limited information.
Tipped definition and narrowing of the distal part of the nose should be possible.
