Hey team, I’m getting breast implants on March 4th. I want rounder breasts higher profile and a narrower gap. We opted for dual plane as I gym a lot and I was given two size choices 280 moderate and 335cc. I chose 335 hp, however I’m just nervous they will take away from my small frame as I only wear a size 6. Do you think 335cc would look good and not too top heavy?
Answer: What is the right implant size for me? Personally I think this way of picking an implant is backwards. I know it is the most common way to pick an implant where the size is decided prior to surgery, but I prefer to make the final decision in the operating room by using a sizer. By using a sizer we can see in real time in the operating room how the shape of the breast looks. To get the best cleavage and the best shape I like to create the pocket and fit the implant to match the pocket like a hand in glove. It maximizes the most pretty aspects of the breasts. I have found you get the best shape to the breast with pretty cleavage and a beautiful look by matching the implant to the breast. I then place the same implant size as the sizer. In this way the number of the implant is not really that important and the focus is put on the shape of the breast and the cleavage. It is impossible to know how the breast will look just by picking a size from a photo, or holding an implant or even in my experience using software. I know it is old fashioned to do it this way but I have found over the years that if the focus is on the shape and not the number patients are happy and their breasts are pretty.

Answer: Implant size Dear Diligent126434, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Hello Hello, I would recommend 335 implants but under the breast tissue, not dual plane, you want the space between the breasts to be seen less, and you also exercise a lot, there is enough tissue for them to look good and not look fake.

Answer: Mini lift with smaller implants At size 30, each 100 cc of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. 300 cc implants will take you up 3 cup sizes to a DDD. This may look to big for your frame. You would also benefit from a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, small implants can be placed totally submuscular. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
