Is getting a nonhormonal IUD before breast augmentation OK?

Question

I got a copper IUD (Paraguard, nonhormonal) placed in as an emergency contraceptive. I have a breast augmentation scheduled for in 1 day. Will this affect my procedure? It's nonhormonal so it won't cause risk of blood clots.

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

Please discuss this with your surgeon. "Emergency" contraceptive is probably not really an emergency. This will stir up some bacteria in your system, and I would postpone your breast augmentation.
