I had rhinoplasty from payasli clinic istanbul 1 year ago. my consultation was short but i explained i did not want my nose shorter or high up, just a bump to be removed and nose to be refined. outcome: i have short nose, small nostrils, rounded tip, my nose always feels blocked, i cant smell- dr has said he will fix but doesnt confirm if graft will be used and just said he will derotate nose to make it longer... but how will my tip look sharper again?? help i hate hate my noee

It is difficult to fully assess this without photos. "fullness" in the area you have described is often referred to as a polybeak deformity and it can be due to a variety of factors, including inadequate tip support/position and excess tissue in the supra-tip area (scar vs grafted material)....
Since rib cartilage is not a foreign body, once it is integrated into your own body, I believe the risk of infection is very slim. This is completely different from a foreign body implant like silicone or Gore-Tex. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
