I have always seen pictures of before and after of getting rid of humps that can be seen from the side, but I don’t see a lot of front view bumps on the top of the nose bridge that make the nose appear wider. Is it possible to make my nose thinner from the front, since it’s a bone that makes it look wider?

When removing a dorsal hump there remains a nasal bone on the left side and a nasal bone on the right side with a gap between the two. This create a white appearance, particularly in people with previously wide noses and thick bones. This is now called at this stage of the procedure and “open roof“. To close the roof and narrow the bridge the nasal bones are cut where they meet the maxilla which is the facial bone , and moved closer together. this closes the roof and narrows the bridge. In a small percentage of patients one or both bones may drift slightly back outward but that is rare.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Your nose can be made narrower by breaking the bones. However I also think the tip needs to be reduced and the bridge lowered fir the best result
