Hello, I have had multiples session of Botox to my gabellar line that is very deep between my eyebrows. They have done two sessions of about 38-40 units in that area and there is still movement and no softening of the frown line. My dermatologist said MAYBE continued Botox injections ever ly few months could address this BUT there has been no results. What can I do to soften or eliminate this frown line?
Answer: Dermal Fillers in Frown Crease Hello Powerful. Dermal fillers in this area are a great option. With an experienced injector, this area can be dosed safely and effectively with products like Restylane (see link below, second row, third photo from left). Restylane products work very well and last a long time also. We can get up to 2-3 years when the patient is having Botox (Dysport) and dermal fillers at the same time.

Answer: Options to consider for treating static lines Thank you for submitting your question and photos. Botox is a great option for treating dynamic wrinkles but isn’t as effective at treating static lines. The frown line you’re referring to may benefit from hyaluronic acid dermal fillers or a facial fat transfer, both of which can restore volume to achieve a smooth result. RF microneedling can also reduce lines on the face by increasing collagen and elastin production with gentle radiofrequency technology. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon or expert injector. They will be able to review your treatment history, discuss your concerns and goals with you, and determine the best approach.

Answer: How to get rid of stubborn frown lines Frown lines can be very pesky and difficult to provide a full correction when they are severe. I would recommend to treat the surrounding muscle groups like your frontalis and orbicularis oculi muscle (crows feet). Doing so will help to relax the accessory muscles that contribute to severity of frown lines. FDA suggests that you treat the upper face with about 64 units in total for optimal results. If there is still no improvement after increasing dosing, my suggestion would be to try out different Neuromodulators such as Dysport or Daxxify to see if optimal results can be achievable.

Answer: Glabella Typically Botox works very well to soften glabellar lines. If you are still having movement after treatment you may wish to try a different neuromodulator. Dysport, Xeomin, or the longer lasting Daxxify are some options. Be sure to see an expert injector for treatment.

Answer: Glabellar Lines / 11s / Frown Lines -- Neuromodulators (Botox/Dysport/Xeomin/Jeuveau), Fillers, Lasers, Microneedling/PRP "For glabellar lines (or frown lines / ""11"" lines), we inject Botox, Xeomin, or Dysport into the muscle, causing the muscle to weaken and improving the appearance of the lines. These work by binding to receptors that send nerve signals for muscles to contract. Since your body makes new receptors and neurotransmitters all the time, it needs to be maintained otherwise the wrinkles will slowly return as the muscle regains function over time. Neurotoxins take 2 to 4 weeks to start working and lasts for up to 6 months. For deeper glabella lines or strong 11s, I use a combination of Botox with fillers, lasers and microneedling with PRP. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and expert in lasers and fillers. Best, Dr. Emer "

Answer: What to do for deep frown fold following Botox Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photos. A filler such as Restylane can be place in that line, but great care must be given due to blood vessels in that area. See an expert injector of fillers in the frown lines. Good luck.
