Dent inbetween eyesbrows - help (Photo)

Question

I have had this dent/crease inbetween my eyebrows since I was 15/16 is when I started noticing, it is very noticeable and prominent under certain lighting and shades, I believe it was caused by my facial twitches and tics, as I suffered from tics , I am now 26 years old, and I would like to get it dealt with and see if I can smooth out the area and flat inbetween my eyesbrows - I will insert pictures , what would benefit me? Thank you

Thank you for your question and photos. The dent you’re referring to can be treated with a combination of Botox and filler. Botox is ideal for relaxing the muscle associated with the dent, while dermal filler can be administered to restore volume and achieve a smooth result.

Botox is a neuromodulator and works by affecting the treated muscle's response.  It may soften the appearance of the contour that concerns you, though it may not eliminate it completely.  Botox is done in the office with final results seen after two weeks.  The product effects will fade gradually over three to four months for most patients.

An examination of you would be helpful to give you the best advice, but it is possible that either Botox injections or filler injections could be of benefit to you to improve the dent between your eyebrows.  It is also possible that the best result could be obtained by using both Botox and a filler.

Hello there,

There are a few things that can be done to help aid in minimizing the depression between yours brows. First, a couple sessions of Botox injections in the glabellar muscle can help minimize the bulging muscles. If the depression is still apparent after a couple sessions of Botox, fillers can be injected into the area to help soften the dent. Mind you this area is high Risk for filler injections and should only be done my a trained dermatologist or plastic surgeon.
