Answer: Liposuction is an option for you. Follow liposuction with Morpheus8 to further improve results. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Addressing Banana Rolls: Liposuction or Buttock Lift? Thank you for reaching out with your question. I understand your concern, and I know how frustrating it can be when you don't see the results you expect, especially after having undergone a procedure like liposuction. In your case, it seems that liposuction alone may not have provided the outcome you were hoping for. This could be due to a number of factors, including skin elasticity, the distribution of fat cells, and how your body healed post-procedure. Given your specific circumstances, I would suggest considering a buttock lift, which not only removes excess fat and skin but also lifts and tightens the area. This procedure could potentially address both the banana roll and the dent on your thigh, giving a smoother, more contoured appearance. However, it's important to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can assess your situation in person. They can provide the most accurate advice after a comprehensive examination and understanding of your medical history. Remember that every individual is unique, and results can vary. The key is to set realistic expectations and to understand that no procedure can guarantee perfection. However, with the right procedure and aftercare, significant improvements can be made. Thank you for your question, and I wish you luck on your journey towards enhanced self-confidence. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Banana roll The banana roll is an area of fat located beneath the buttocks, and can be difficult to target with traditional exercise and dieting. Liposuction is a common procedure used to address this area, but in some cases, it may not be effective. If you have already tried liposuction with little success, you may want to consider other options such as a lower body lift or a thigh lift. A lower body lift removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen, hips, thighs, and buttocks, resulting in a smoother, tighter contour. A thigh lift, on the other hand, focuses specifically on the thighs, removing excess skin and fat and tightening the remaining tissue. It's important to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate your individual needs and recommend the best course of treatment for you. They can also discuss the risks and benefits of each procedure and help you understand what results you can realistically expect. I hope this helps, best of luck !

Answer: Understanding the banana roll The banana role is a normal skin fold that occurs in some people in an upright standing position. When standing erect, the skin on the back of the thigh is pushed up into the buttocks, creating skin redundancy that creates a skin forward. This is very similar to how people form a skinfold on their lower abdomen in a sitting position. Because hip flexion pulls the skin tight when the hips are flexed when the hips are extended in an upright standing position, there will be skin redundancy. you’ll see that that banana roll is eliminated with flexion of your hips if you lean forward while looking in the mirror. The banana role is not caused by an issue related to fat distribution, but rather skin redundancy in an upright standing position. There is no good treatment to eliminated the banana rule. Skin excision would be the correct treatment by believes an unacceptable scar. As you describe yourself, Liposuction typically doesn’t fix the problem and is often associated with creating a new issue with the storage fat distribution, creating a secondary problem. Without pictures, we can’t begin to make an assessment. I’m not sure why you’re unable to post pictures with your post since the website clearly allows for this. The banana role is poorly, understood by a lot of providers in cosmetic surgery, including board-certified plastic surgeons. It is erroneously believed that it responds well to Liposuction, when in fact it does not. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
