Labia minora now sticks out of majora after labiaplasty, what can be done? (photos)

Lady Trader
I thought the majora covers the minora. I had my labiaplasty to reshape the majora as they were elongated after menopause. The majora obviously covered the minora and 'protected' them. I had the minora slightly shaped for symmetry purposes. Why is it that my inner minora now protrude outside the majora? This causes dryness, pain, soreness and is so uncomfortable. Is there anything that can be done about this? It's very upsetting.
