Labia minora now sticks out of majora after labiaplasty, what can be done? (photos)

It’s unfortunate that you’ve had to experience this. It would be a good idea to return to your surgeon to discuss your concerns. You’re right - the labia minora should not protrude so much beyond the labia majora that it causes discomfort. You may need a revision, although it would be difficult to say what treatment would be suitable for you without knowing more details. Labia puffing, which involves fat transfer to the labia majora, may be an option.

I'm sorry to hear that you are not fully happy with your labiaplasty results.

It may be possible that you need additional labia minora (inner lips) tissues removed, so that they do not hang outside of labia major and cause discomfort and irritation.

I would also wait at least a full year from your original surgery prior to undergoing revision surgery because the wound healing takes up to 1 year to be completed.

I would definitely discuss your questions and concerns with your Plastic Surgeon or a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in Labiaplasty procedures.

Your photo didn't come through. You should definitely repost. Nonetheless, labia majora fat injections (also called labial puffing) can usually restore the protective effect of the labia majora and possibly provide a degree of cover. Without photos, though, nothing can be recommended. If you wish to share photos privately, schedule a virtual consultation.

Hello, the labia majora may have been reduced too much. In this case, surgery may be required to reduce the labia minora or to fill the labia majora with fillers. I hope I helped.

In normal anatomy, and for most racial groups and inter-personal variations the outer labia cover a large portion of the inner labia, both laterally and also to keep the entrance “closed” or apposed. Therefore most majoral Labioplasty will result in this and the solution is best prevented by carrying out minoral Labioplasty at the same time, with or without fourchette closure / perineoplasty
