How common is it to experience contour abnormalities following transfer of fat to the cheeks and what can be done to remedy it?

Facial fat grafting is by its own nature somewhat unpredictable, imprecise and potentially unforgiving. Does an abnormality include patients not being happy with the outcome? If so then abnormalities are not uncommon. 
The chance and degree depends on your candidacy and the skill of the provider which are the single most important two variables.
Personally I suggest you use fillers.
