10 months post-op- Will this fix the look of my neck and loose skin? Should I see a different Doctor?

Thank you for sharing your question and photos. This is one of the most common reasons facelifts and neck lift patients seek revision. Moving forward with a platysmaplasty or any procedure that only addresses the midline neck would be grossly insufficient to correct this issue. I have seen many patients that have had shortcut neck lift procedures such as platysmaplasty (done elsewhere). The skin and central neck tissues are not the problem. The first surgery insufficiently addressed (or didn't address at all) the deeper muscle and fascia known as the SMAS tissue. Surgery in the central neck alone would likely make this issue worse. Deep plane facelift and deep neck lift is the best way to address this problem. Furthermore, deep plane facelift would also address your jowls and midface, which also show a suboptimal result. If done correctly, deep plane facelift can easily fix these issues and will provide significant long-lasting results.

My opinion is that you go back and have an honest conversation with your Doctor, which will be eager to help you.
Be sure to discuss all of your goals for a secondary neck lift in detail, including neck hollowness, loose skin, incisions, and alternatives for each procedure.
Also, address your concerns and expectations, including surgery in his office, to be sure you attain your desired results.
