Hello My PS has recommended I do my extended deep plane neck and face lift with upper blepharosplasty lip lift with corner lift in one operation and 10 days later go in and do my revision rhinoplasty with forehead and brow lift he advised that to do all procedures in one would mean quite some hours under anaesthetic and would prefer splitting between 2 operations. My question is would the second operation effect the results ofthe 1st and is 10 days enough between the 2 ? Thank You for your time

Answer: Two Surgical Dates If your Surgeon feels that the operative time will be excessive, it's completely appropriate to split up the surgical dates. Although I would prefer at least two weeks between anesthetic events, 10 days isn't out of the question for a healthy, active patient. I prefer to do revision rhinoplasty by itself and not along with other facial rejuvenation procedures. As long as you follow instructions, eat a healthy diet, and maintain a positive attitude, the 1st procedure and 2nd procedure should not affect each other.

Answer: Should be fine This shouldn't be an issue. Personally, I would do the facial rejuvenation procedures all at once, (deep plane facelift, upper bleph, lip lift, browlift, 6-7 hours), then revision rhinoplasty 10 days later. If you do all the facial rejuvenation procedures at once, this will have no effect on the rhinoplasty outcome, and vice versa. Would discourage doing the browlift at the same time as the rhinoplasty. This can create swelling at the radix (root of nose), which can obscure your rhinoplasty outcome and make creating the perfect shape more challenging. Hope this is helpful!

Answer: Staged Surgery Hello, hope you are well. I think you can give your surgeon the benefit of the doubt and trust their experience and way of doing things. Having said that, if they are concerned about having enough time in one day under general anesthesia, the upper blepharoplasty and lip lift could also be done under local anesthesia at a later time. If the surgeries really need to be broken up, a deep plane facelift, revision rhinoplasty, and forehead/brow lift could be done in the first stage under general anesthesia, followed by lip lift and upper bleph under local anesthesia at a later date. Usually an upper blepharoplasty is done after a brow lift because the amount of skin that would be excised will likely change. Hope this helps. Best,Dr. Tower
