I have scheduled an appointment for a deep plane facelift for the end of next year. My surgeon advised me to stop smoking at least 8 weeks prior to surgery. I think it’s a good opportunity to stop that bad habit. I have written about the terrible complications in smokers and I’m not sure if it will be safe. My plan is to stop at least 6 months prior. But I’m anxious that it will not be enough. Any advice? Should I delay it for an additional year?
