I want to be transparent, I researched multiple surgeons before making my decision, and I am so glad I chose him. From the beginning, I felt truly heard. He understood exactly what I wanted to address without any judgment, and more importantly, he was honest about what I actually needed. That meant a lot to me, especially after other consultations where it felt more like I was being pushed toward the most expensive options rather than the right ones. I was extremely nervous going into this and had a million questions, but he answered every single one with patience, kindness, and real expertise. I never once felt rushed or dismissed. We ultimately decided on a brow lift, upper blepharoplasty, and buccal fat removal, and I felt completely confident in that plan. The surgery process itself was far less stressful than I expected. And I have to give a huge shoutout to my nurse Eric, he made the entire experience feel calm and comfortable and honestly helped ease so much of my anxiety. Recovery was also incredibly supportive. One thing that really stood out is that Dr. Okland gives his patients his personal number for any post-op questions or concerns. That level of care made a huge difference and gave me so much peace of mind. And now, the results, I truly could not be happier. I still look like me, just more refreshed and refined. I don’t have that overdone or “worked on” look at all. Most people can’t even tell I had anything done, they just say things like, “Wow, you look really pretty today,” without being able to pinpoint why. I’ve always been told I have a unique look, and that hasn’t changed. It just feels elevated now. On top of that, he is incredibly personable and genuinely feels like he cares about his patients, which is something you can’t fake. His pricing felt very reasonable, honestly lower than what I would expect given his level of skill and results. Beyond the aesthetic outcome, the entire surgical and recovery experience exceeded my expectations. His precision and delicacy are evident in the way I healed. I woke up with no bruising and absolutely minimal swelling, and that remained consistent throughout recovery. I was able to breathe through my nose immediately, had no significant congestion, no bleeding, and did not need any pain medication. After speaking with Dr. Okland, I decided to go all in, and I’m so glad I did. The entire experience was amazing (aside from the first week of recovery, which is tough, but absolutely worth it!). Everything Dr. Okland told me turned out to be true. By six weeks post-surgery, I looked like myself, just with far less loose skin and a much more refreshed appearance. I was especially worried about the brow lift making me look surprised all the time, but it turned out beautifully and very natural. The neck lift (included in deep plane facelift) was everything I wanted and couldn't be happier. One thing that really stood out was how accessible Dr. Okland was. Being a victim of an attack I had facial damage as well as a badly broken nose that was causing me breathing issues. It was an awful time and between the battles with insurance and finding a doctor that wanted to try to even take on my case I felt truly lacking in hope. Then came along Dr Okland who I had heard of from a friend. Immediately I knew he was the individual to take on my case. Not only did he have a calm, highly collective demeanor, he was also so honest and open with me in all of the questions that I had rolling around in my head at the moment. Even though he was out of network I knew that without a doubt he was the right person. He made me feel important and valued in every sense. As for the results. I could not be happier. He not only made the appearance of my nose look better than it ever has been, he was also able to restore my breathing to as functional as one could possibly experience after my incident. In addition we did fat transfer to fill the void that I had underneath my eye where I had bone fractures and indentations. We did two follow ups to be certain that I had the symmetry and the fullness that I once previously had. Overall, I cannot state how thankful I am to have come across him as a Doctor and a person. He would legit text me back and forth through this whole process while running his business. He turned what at the time was one of the hardest experiences in my life into something that I can now start to put in the past with his help. Dr Okland and Anita answered all my questions and explained everything in a way that made me feel very confident and at ease about the procedure. It hasn’t been quite a year but I love the results so far. I will update when it has been.
The best Dr around!!! I got a rhinoplasty 6 months ago and I’m so happy I decided to go with Dr okland. He gave me my dream nose! He was so wonderful from the beginning to the end, great bedside manners, all the staff was so pleasant, his whole office and facility is very clean and proper!
