I had ONLY a deep plane facelift revision and now my right cheek is dented, flat, and lumpy. The dents exacerbate upon smiling (photo). Surgeon says this is fat atrophy due to revision surgery. (I don't think this is possible since I saw this issue immediately after wrap removal.). Could sutures be too tight in my muscles or some other type of damage?? What could be causing this and what would you suggest to fix this issue ?? (I haven't had any fat transfers done. Only deep plane facelift)
Hi, Would like to ask what ligaments are or should be released for a deep plane face lift? What ligaments address different parts of the face? Would not releasing all of the necessary ligaments give poor results? What also happens with the SMAS as I have been left questioning if I truly had a deep plane as my SMAS was folded. I did not think this was done/happened for deep plane? Thank you
I am not exactly sure what is going on. I did discuss it with my surgeon and she said give it 6 months that it is swelling. Did anyone look great at first then swell at 4 months then go back to tight? I personally feel that it is more than swelling. It feels like my entire face is sliding down. Before surgery I had loose skin but not a big fat pocket like now.
I currently 57. I got a deep place facelift, lower skin pinch, a temporal brow lift and fat grafting last July with a very experienced surgeon. I traveled for the work and for the most part am very happy. As I've healed I see an irregularity that bothers me on my left undereye region mostly. I feel as if it's not symmetrical and kind of has a lumpish look. Looking for feedback as to what it could be and how it may be resolved. This side was much more swollen right after surgery. Thank you.
I had a DP facelift and N/L in Jan. I went in for these puffs on the sides of my mouth area and my sagging neck and was told no problem to correct these. In February the puffs started returning and the neck has issues as well still. Id like feedback and thoughts on if indeed I was given a deep plane and neck lift? What needs to be done to correct these issues? Thank you
I had a deep plane face and neck lift jus over 10 months ago, with complications during healing. Everything was finally starting to look good and inflammation/swelling going down. 2 months ago I started noticing swelling in my cheek an jowl areas and my mouth is looking droopy, asymmetrical and wider. Will this resolve? Not able to contact operating surgeon. Thanks
Hello and thank you in advance. I had Deep plane/ neck lift and CO2 in January 2023. Both issues with face and neck returned. The Co2 caused damage. Big pores, loss of elasticity and lines across my face. Surgery start time was 8:37 and ended at 10:22. That is a total of 1hr and 46min. Take 30 off for Co2 and he spent 1hr and 16 min on my deep plane and neck lift. Is it possible to do this properly in that amount of time? My face and neck are saying no.
I had a wound form on my throat/neck after a deep plane face and neck lift . Recovery was difficult for me but I followed the surgeon's instructions for all of my incision wounds: this was explained to be one of those rare occurences that happens to young patients with thinner skin on the neck. I'm left with a horrible scar that the surgeon wants to correct by unattatching the scar from my muscle. Was I unlucky and just happen to be one of those unfortunate patients? (45 f)
