I am 35 years old and saved up some money for chin/jaw augumentation . I am breastfeeding so spare me the condition of my skin how bad is my chin recession ? What procedure would you recommend . I am considering genioplasty . I am yet to have consultation wihh to any surgeon yet

Genioplasty could potentially help correct the aesthetic aspect of your lower face, however for a more comprehensive approach we'd recommend for you to see a maxillofacial surgeon or an orthodontist to obtain more imaging, evaluate your bite and soft/hard tissue.

The advancement of the bone and the soft tissue is not a 1:1 ratio. Whether performing a genioplasty or chin implant, 4-5 mm is the absolute minimum; otherwise, you will not notice a difference. Typically, small advancements are 5mm, but most patients are advanced further. There is a trend...

The bony movement and the soft tissue movement are not 1:1. Typically, 5 mm is the least amount that I would consider, but more often we project patients 5-7 mm. Selecting the amount of projection needs to be individualized. The procedure is performed in the office with sedation anesthesia.
