Genioplasty could potentially help correct the aesthetic aspect of your lower face, however for a more comprehensive approach we'd recommend for you to see a maxillofacial surgeon or an orthodontist to obtain more imaging, evaluate your bite and soft/hard tissue.

The bony movement and the soft tissue movement are not 1:1. Typically, 5 mm is the least amount that I would consider, but more often we project patients 5-7 mm. Selecting the amount of projection needs to be individualized. The procedure is performed in the office with sedation anesthesia.
