I will be undergoing a procedure soon - Thyroidectomy. How soon will I be able to have a breast reduction surgery? Also once I have my breast reduction surgery I will need to travel by air, how soon can this happen after my surgery? Thanks

Answer: Time between procedures Once you have fully healed from your thryoid removal and your hormones are well balanced with medication you can consider having your breast reduction. Typically you will want to avoid flying for a few weeks after your breast reduction surgery. Your surgeon will advise you on specifics as opinions may vary.

Answer: Waiting time Dear Gentle711084, you should wait until you are fully healed. Most will recommend you to wait 6 months and then get surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
