The UK Civil Aviation Authority advise that it is appropriate to fly from 10 days after this kind of surgery, but ideally you would want your wounds to have completely healed and be fully recovered - I would typically advise 4-6 weeks.

Generally it is advisable to wait minimum 3 months between two general anaesthetics, for your specific operation, your surgeon will guide you when its safe to undergo further operation in light of your oral medications you might be starting post surgery.

I normally recommend 3 months for recovery from any procedure.It would also be important to check the your thyroid function tests have normalised.Once these have been checked, there should be no problem having a breast reduction about 3 months after a thyroidectomy. Following thyroidectomy, it may take several months for your body to equilibrate with your thyroid medication. Your primary care physician or endocrinologist will determine when it is safe to proceed with an elective cosmetic procedure.
In our practice, we recommend delaying air travel after breast reduction for a period of 2 weeks to lower the potential risk of deep vein thrombosis.
