Breast reduction: Can I go from a 46F to a C cup? (photos)

Unfortunately with the photos you have provided and without an examination, it is difficult to say how much you would be reduced in a breast reduction. I would recommend meeting with a plastic surgeon to discuss the surgery and for examination; they should be able to give you an estimate as to how much tissue they will remove from each breast.

breast reduction is best suited for women who wish to decrease the size of their breasts. While there are different techniques used to perform this surgery, I prefer the vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern, which reduces more noticeable scarring than usual. I also use a SAFE liposuction technique to reduce additional fat around the stubborn axilla area and bra line. Thanks for your question! The final size of your breast is determined by the width and how much we can safely remove. I wouldn't be focused on a cup size as much as relief of your symptoms. I would suggest finding a surgeon in your area who specializes in this procedure. Good luck!

Hello @Cute147516, thank you for your question. When performing a breast reduction, the amount of breast tissue that the patient has must be taken into account. This is in order to achieve the final objective, which is to give harmony and uniformity to the breasts. During a breast reduction, the amount of tissue removed does not always match in both breasts. This is because the amount is subject to what can be found during the surgical process. At 5'3 and 290 lbs, your BMI is 52. You are not a surgical candidate at this time. You will need to lose weight prior to any surgery. I recommend your begin a low fat diet, core exercises such as sit-ups, planks, pilates, wear an abdominal binder and consult with a weight loss physician. You may qualify for bariatric surgery. Once you get your BMI to 32 or lower then you can consider breast surgery. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reduce and reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying pectoralis major muscle resulting in pain relief without excessive reduction. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained.

An examination is needed to confirm what you can expect in terms of results from a breast reduction.
