Can skin tightening procedures work for me after big implant explant (A to D)?

If you are unable to have a breast lift or fat transfer procedure, there may still be non-surgical skin tightening options available to improve the appearance of your breasts after implant explant surgery.

There will be significant laxity of the breast envelope after implant removal; for that reason skin excision and tightening by means of breast lift will be necesarry to achive firmer breasts. In order to achieve some volume increase, fat grafts can be placed in the muscle and under the skin which will increase volume and improve overall shape of the breasts; if needed, additional fat grafting can be done 6 months or longer after first procedure. A moderate profile implant under the muscle will give a more natural look. Because of the paucity of breast tissue, you are a better candidate for ‘gummy’ silicone implants than a saline implant. Regardless, You should have a board-certified plastic surgeon examine you for further recommendations.

Skin tightening procedures work best on skin that has good elasticity. Once your implants are removed your skin will retract on its own to some degree. Factors that will influence this will be the length of time the implants were in place, your skin elasticity, and the size of the implants. If the skin has been permanently stretched your best and most predictable option is a lift.

You could achieve some tightening and improvement with radiofrequency treatments like ThermiTight or Renuvion, but it will not be a complete lift. However, it would be safe.
