Belly button revision - is it possible to have a good outcome? (Photos)

Question

So I had belly button revision after I got a botched belly button after a tummy tuck by the same surgeon. So he only addressed a little bit of skin on the top. As you can see my belly button is awful at the moment. I am in the process of having consultations with other surgeons as I can’t live with it. A response I got from one surgeon was “That’s exactly what we’re planning to do. The sides of the abdomen are slightly raised, while the center of the belly sits lower — and that’s the main issue. We’ll add some fat to the sides to even them out, and then contour the center inward” Another surgeon said it just needs pulling inwards. Can someone please give me some input on what the best outcome will be

Yes, I think revision umbilicoplasty will significantly help 1) hide the scar 2) make it smaller. This can be done with local. I would not hesitate to proceed. Thank you.

I am sorry that you are not happy with your aesthetic outcome, but this can be revised and improved. without an exam it will be hard for me to accurately give you a plan , but just based of the pictures it looks like the fat around your belly button was slightly over resected and the stalk was not tacked to the underlying fascia, this leads to flattening of the belly button and leads to the scar being more obvious , that in addition the the umbilicus being made slightly larger. this can be dealt with with a number of approaches that are best discussed with a plastic surgeon that you trust who will perform an exam and decide on the best course of action.I hope this helps, best of luck!
