How long should one wait before flying after having filler, Botox and Hyalase done?

Hello have this question that I seem to find different answers to. Whats the earliest one can fly without it having any affect on the result if doing the following: (1) filler, nose & lips (2) botox (3) hyalase, removing filler in nose & lips

Generally speaking, air travel after cosmetic injectables is quite safe, but timing does matter, especially to minimize swelling, bruising, and pressure-related discomfort.

Here’s a breakdown for each treatment:

Filler (Nose & Lips):
It’s typically recommended to wait 24 to 48 hours before flying. Cabin pressure and dry air can potentially worsen swelling or bruising, especially in sensitive areas like the nose and lips.

Botox:
Botox is less sensitive in terms of air travel. You can generally fly within 24 hours, but I usually advise waiting at least a day to avoid movement of the product during the initial settling period.

Hyalase (Filler Dissolving in Nose & Lips):
Because this involves enzymatic activity and a bit more tissue disruption, I recommend waiting at least 48 to 72 hours before flying, to give time for inflammation to subside and for the enzyme to work optimally.

Of course, individual healing times can vary, and if you experienced significant swelling, bruising, or discomfort in the past, giving yourself a bit more time can be beneficial.

The reason you see so many answers is that no one has ever done an actual scientific study because it would be expensive and hard to design.

Likely, there wouldn’t be a significant long term impact even if you got injected right before you got on the plane. That said, because of the change in cabin pressure, it would help to avoid excess swelling and bruising to wait at least 48 hours.

There are no restrictions for flying after filler or Botox treatments.  Follow your injector's instructions to minimize bruising and swelling.  You may want to use bromelain and arnica as well.  Keep your head elevated for the first few hours and avoid strenuous exercise for a day or two.
