Nasolabial Folds filler on lines or a contour lift?

I am in my mid 40’s. I have lines on my Nasolabial Folds that are bothering me. I went to one doctor that suggested using Voluma directly onto the lines to smooth them out. The other doctor suggested using Restylane and doing a contour lift on my cheeks. She said that would be better in lifting the lines back. I have huge cheeks as it is and don’t want them bigger. Which approach would be better for smoothing out faint/mild lines around my mouth?

Nasolabial folds may be treated directed with filler to soften the natural crease.  Adding cheek filler may help "lift" tissue with lessening the appearance of the smile lines.  Often both direct and cheek filler is performed to address the line.

It is important to not just address the "problem" but look at the face as a whole to ensure the result is harmonious.  Voluma is not a product that is standardly used in this area, but there are exceptions based on the patient's needs.
