6 months post op I have so much excess skin still. Surgeon 3000 miles away and non contactable unless I travel over which I will next month. What do I need done next? I wouldn't have proceeded with this if a fdl had been suggested at first consultation, but now local surgeons have said this is the only way to fix this? Could upper lipo and more pulled down work? Hip scar extended also?

Because you're disappointed with your results, your situation deserves comprehensive analysis: What feature(s) are you unhappy with? Why did they turn out that way? What were details of your surgery contributing to that result? Each of your issues should be individually addressed and a plan ...
ANSWER: IT DEPENDS. IT IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE A TUMMY TUCK REDONEWHEN THERE IS STILL EXCESS SKIN. OTHERWISE PROCEDURES MAY BE LIMITED TO SCAR REVISIONS. IF THERE IS A BULGE THAT REPRESENTS RESIDUAL FAT, THEN LIPOSUCTION MAY BE BENEFICIAL.
Your lower abdominal skin can be tightened further along with lowering the scar. It is too early to have that done and I advise holding off for six months. Ideally it would be converted to a full tummy tuck, however if the umbilicus was floated this would not be possible.
