Can I wax breasts after breast augmentation?

Thank you for your question.  Yes, it will be fine to wax the breasts after breast augmentation.  I would give it about 3-4 weeks, but after that, you should be fine.

Once your sutures are removed, it should be safe to wax your breasts. I would also recommend doing it a week before the procedure in case of any skin irritation. Best of luck!

Each surgeon differs in their protocols. I reccomend asking this directly to your chosen surgeon. Best of luck. 

You will want to talk to your surgeon about this directly however in my practice I would suggest no waxing for one week before surgery and six weeks after surgery. Beyond that you should be fine. Hope that helps!

Thank you for your question.  After you are fully healed from your breast augmentation, there should not be any issue with you waxing to remove any breast hairs.  

After you are healed, you should have no problem returning to your normal hair removal routine. You may want to ask your surgeon about laser hair removal as this typically works well for dark hairs and can be more a long lasting solution to your problem.Good luck.

While swollen refrain from any heat on the breast skin because the decreased sensation can result in not knowing that a burn can occur with something hot. For instance a hot water bottle, waxing etc. many of my patients have laser hair removal as one of services in our med-spa.

It is safe to do it 4 weeks after surgery. You may consider laser hair removal as well; 2-3 treatments may be needed to remove unwanted hair permanently. You should discuss this issue with your surgeon. Good luck. 

Hi S,Thank you for your question. I would suggest not to do any waxing for a couple of months after the surgery. Depilatory cream should be Ok once your wounds are healed.Have you considered laser depilation? It will not always give you permanent hair removal, but in most of cases it reduces amount of hair significantly and slow down the grow. It is more efficient for dark hair. You usually need multiple sessions with laser. If you do your first session before surgery it may last longer than waxing, so it would give you time to heal.I hope that helps.Best wishes.Elena Prousskaia
