I'm feeling really nauseous and have chills, I'm 6 days post op. Why am I feeling like this? (photos)

It is quite common to experience nausea after surgery nd usually this is because of anaesthetic and antibiotic and painkillers or simply because dehydration. I recommend my anaesthetists to give plenty of anti sickness during surgery and fluid to keep hydrated

Thank you for your question and photos.  Based off of the photos, thus far your results look good and there are no concerning signs of an infection.  Sometimes patients may experience these types of symptoms following anesthesia.  Another possibility is that you caught a common virus following surgery and its coincidental.  You should also check yourself for a fever.  Either way, contact your plastic surgeon and notify him/her of these changes.  He/she may ask you to come in to be further evaluated.  I hope this helps and I hope you start feeling better soon.

Thank you for your question. Your result looks great for this early in your recovery. A low grade fever can be normal after anesthesia. If your symptoms persist, I would call your Plastic Surgeon tomorrow to be evaluated.

Thanks for your question.  It appears that you have a very nice result from surgery.  I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling well.  It is most likely not related to the surgery and you may have caught a virus or eaten something bad.  Also, anesthesia slows down the bowels.  You may be experiencing nausea because your gut is starting to wake up.  Keep drinking fluids, take your temperature, and call your surgeon if you aren't feeling well tomorrow.  Feel better soon.
