I just finished getting my porcleen veneers. In addition, I had some gums lasered to reshape my canines. However, I am now noticing that they are not symmetrical. Is it to late to use a laser and fix the shape, now that I have my porcleen veneers?
Answer: Lasering Gums After Veneers Placed It would not be ideal to attempt recontouring at this stage without replacing the veneer. You could end up with an even more compromised result. if you do decide to do it I would recontour your premolars as well, then place veneers on them. This would make a dramatic difference. Good luck.

Answer: Typically, you laser before #veneers, however ... #DrSarahThompson Hello there,Typically, you get your gums shaped prior to placing veneers. However, it is not uncommon for your gums to attempt to grow back some after the veneers are placed. This can cause the gums to look asymmetrical, so in cases like these, it is okay to have some gum contouring done after your veneers are placed. In any case, it is important to ask your dentist whether this applies to your case. It is really tough to see from your picture provided. Good luck and I hope this info helps you. Answer: Gum recontouring Hi, congratulations on your new porcelain veneers! Recontouring gums with laser or blades is sometimes not 100% as tissue can grow back after reshaping the gums. If the margin of where the veneer meets the tooth on both canines are symmetrical, then it is possible to go back in with a laser and reshape the tissue again. If the margins are not at the same height, then it may be necessary to reshape the tissue to where you want it and worst case scenario replace the single veneer if there is a significant space between the gum and veneer. Good luck and hope its just a minor adjustment !

Answer: Too late for laser Typically laser treatment is done prior or while undergoing veneer treatments. After the restorations are placed the risk of exposing too much marign of the tooth is high and therefore may create some cosmetic complications which may require the veneers to be need to be redone.Feel free to discuss these with your treating provider as well. All the best!

Answer: Laser Your veneers have been constructed to 0.5- 1 m.m. below your gum-line. If now, after they have been permanently placed, and you now undergo any laser treatment, most probably the gingival margins of your teeth will be exposed. This is definitely, unaesthetic, and , as the cementum ( the outer layer of your root) would now be exposed, painful as well
