Of course you can get veneers on teeth that already have a permanent retainer secured to the back of them. Depending on the type of veneers that you get, you may need to have your cosmetic dentist remove the permanent retainer in-order to have full access to the tooth, but in many cases, the permanent retainer doesn't have to be touched. Hi, there is no problem getting veneers placed if you have a permanent retainer. Although, I would consider removing it temporarily during the placement of the veneers. I usually take off any lingual wires when I place my temps and during the cementation process to allow for a better clean up of cement. After completing treatment, I immediately have patients get a new permanent lingual retainer or sometimes advise to get Vivera Retainers (these are clear retainers used after invisalign). Good luck with the process!
No problem. You can definately get veneers or Lumineers with a permanent retainer. This should not be a problem for your dentist to work around.
I do not think that having veneers should have any problem with your permanent retainer. The reason being that the veneers go on the outside of your teeth and really should not affect the inside of your teeth where the retainer is. Good luck
