Is it normal to have one breast swell more than the other after breast augmentation?- 2 days post op

Think of your breast augmentation as two separate surgeries (left breast and right breast), they will experience different amounts of swelling and bruising. Some degree of unilateral swelling is not uncommon following breast augmentation - the question is how much unilateral swelling do you have? Without any photos it is impossible to say how much is normal. You should be evaluated by your chosen surgeon to rule out something of seriousness.

Hello,While it is not uncommon to have one breast sit higher, swell a little more, or feel slightly more painful than the other, It is important that you contact your Plastic Surgeon with any concerns/changes like significant expansion/bruising/increased pain. There are often differences in the two breasts right after surgery and this can be due to a number of reasons. There may be more air or fluid around the implant on the larger side, but the body will usually absorb that over the first few weeks, so give it some time. Be sure to wear the type of garment your surgeon recommends, to give the proper support (and perhaps some compression) as needed.
