Are you asking how long the lapse of time for healing in between treatments with PicoSure Laser is? If so then 6-8 weeks is the answer and in some cases (on extremities) the wait is 12 weeks. Hitting the tattoo with another treatment before the previous treatment is healed is just a waste of money. The tattoo will not dissipate any sooner. In addition, the surrounding tissues could Hypo or Hyper pigment. PicoSure is 3 times faster on average than a q-switch laser when removing tattoos. But patience is still the rule when removing any tattoo. You have to remember you knew the tattoo was permanent when the artist put the ink into your skin. All the best to you!
Generally speaking, your body may continue to absorb and remove ink particles for roughly 8 weeks following each treatment. Therefore, larger tattoos may do well with 8 week intervals. At Hall Plastic Surgery in Austin, Texas we customize our treatment regimens for each person based on a variety of clinical factors while also taking the patients's desires and schedule in to account.

We've had tremendous results with the Picosure on black bold outlines on tattoos and excellent results on shaded areas where the ink is less dense. Without knowing the size, location, age, type of ink, or area of the tattoo, it would be difficult to estimate number of treatments, however.
Picosure can help fine line and wrinkles with very little risk of laser pigment change. It is the newest technology available for this problem with very little down time.
Hi ABS. What your provider did not tell you is that the Picosure wavelength (755) is not the most ideal type of light for your tattoo. It may very well take you more treatments with this type of laser than it would with a different type of laser - the q-switched Nd:Yg (1064)....
