At 6 days post-op is indeed normal to have swelling so I would recommend you to wait the 3-6 months after your surgery to see the final results. If it doesn't change then consider other options like a revision or more liposuction.

I would've expected to see a better result even this early after in abdominoplasty but the situation will improve. Whether or not the results without your expectations remains to be seen.

Swelling occurs after tummy tucks. It is very important to wear the garments given to you buy the surgeon as this will minimize the swelling and possible fluid collections. 

revisions can always be considered once you are 'healed'.  There are many variables that influence the outcome and your surgeon knows best as to what anatomical issue you may have as well.  Give yourself time to heal and when you have healed, you can consider other options.

Appears as a very conservative excision and too short a lateral incision done. Allow healing than consider re operation.... 

At six days, you are still swollen.  the swelling may take weeks to months to fully resolve. If the "pouch" persists after 3-6 months, you may need some revision liposuction or further removal of the excess skin and subcutaneous tissue.  Your surgeon should have discussed their revision policy up front, if in case it is needed.  

Hello and thank you for your question. It certainly is early in your recovery,  but unfortunately I agree with you that your early result is not what I would expect.  I however was not at your surgery and sometimes we have issues beyond our control that occur. It looks like you need liposuction and to be pulled tighter.  You might have or will need a circumferential abdominoplasty to fix your problem.
