I have huge varicose veins all over my legs. How can this impact both the actual procedure and recovery period of a Tummy Tuck?

I want to get a tummy tuck but I have huge varicose veins all over my legs. How can this impact both the actual procedure and recovery period? I'm concerned about blood clots and dying on the operating table. Is a tummy tuck safe or should get the varicose veins removed first?
