Endoscopic brow lift is not procedure to remove wrinkles from the forehead. This is best done with Botox. There is no surgery that I would recommend to remove wrinkles from forehead permanently (which means removing entire frontalis muscle and portion of others), in particular in patient of younger age. Vertical wrinkles between the eyebrows are sometimes diminished during browlift surgery when the surgeon teases the muscles in this location to diminish the effect on the overlying skin. These muscles pull the eyebrows down and weakening them may be useful. Horizontal wrinkles across the forehead are less likely to be diminished by brow lifting because they are created by the muscles that elevate the brow that the surgeon will want to keep working after surgery to keep the brows up. If your wrinkles are mild, using a neurotoxin might be a better solution than surgery.

Hi there! A brow lift can soften wrinkles in the forehead and skin is often removed to achieve proper elevation of the eyebrows. Have you tried Botox or Dysport? These neurotoxins help to reduce wrinkles quickly with results lasting 3-4 months on average. They're mainstays of wrinkle treatment. Also, topical skin care such as hydrating lotions and sunscreen protect from skin damage. I would not necessarily choose a brow lift to reduce wrinkles but rather to change brow position. Thank you for this excellent question. A browlift of any type adjusts the position of the eyebrows. Browlifts typically don't significantly improve wrinkles. If wrinkles are your primary concern, a neuromodulator like Botox would be your best option. Forehead wrinkles are caused by the frontalis muscle trying to hold the brows elevated. By elevating the brows with any type of lift the muscles no longer have to contract to keep them there. If you are starting to see permanent wrinkles, a browlift can help prevent worsening them. However, to treat the permanent wrinkles, you need to be using tretinoin (Retin-A) to stimulate production of new collage and ELASTIderm by Obagi to convert some of the new collagen to elastin.
