There are a variety of different surgical techniques that can be used to lift the brow. Some avoid incisions in hair bearing skin. If an incision is placed in native or transplanted hair bearing skin, the resultant scar will not grow new hairs. So called "trichophytic incisions" can be used to protect hair follicles at the site of future scars. Alternatively, non surgical treatments, such as botox and threads can also be used to reposition the brow.
Dear Dynamic838450Thanks for your question. The answer depends of the shape and location of your hairline, age, etc. generally it does not make your forehead bigger and actually many of the techniques can make the forehead smaller as it contains removal of some the forehead skin. A proper consultation can answer your question much better.
Hello @Dynamic838450, thank you for your question. There is a reasonable amount of time between surgeries. Generally the time suggested by the doctor who did the transplant because the hair transplant is given in several stages, such as the stages of the follicle for hair growth. Once these stages have passed and with the approval of the doctor or specialist who performed the transplant, the eyebrow lift can be performed. It has nothing to do with having a higher or bigger forehead. What the eyebrow pexy will do is to improve the proportion between the final line of the eyebrow and the eye. The best course of action is to consult one or several board certified plastic surgeons for more information and options tailored specifically to your needs. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez, MD FACS.
